Socio-cultural Theory (Skill (s) I learned)

When I was in Grade 7, I wanted to learn playing instruments, especially the guitar. This skill caught my attention because I think it is cool to play and have the guitar in your hands. Being a singer at a very young age added more urge to this attention. On those days, I think everyone will like and praise me if I had a talent of playing a guitar. Another reason why I want to learn this skill is because my father also plays a guitar very well. Different sounds were produced when he starts to strum the guitar strings. There are also different kind of techniques used to play a guitar and one of this is the fingerstyle which is eventually one of the hardest style to play a guitar. In this very young age, my father assisted me simply by teaching me the basic chords ( D, A, Em, G). At first, it is very hard for me to reach the strings and my hands can feel the pain. But I have this courage to play the guitar everyday just to have the right placement of my fingers so that it will produce a good sound. I was very happy back then when I learned how to play the basic chords. When I have learned it well, I watched a tutorial from YouTube and also used applications who can taught me how to do the other chords. When I was in Grade 10, I had a boyfriend who was good in playing this instrument. He also encouraged me to learn more. In this age, I was so stubborn and always complaining saying , "Im tired, I can't do it right" but then he's always telling me that practicing it well will make it perfect. Even though we had a long distance relationship back then, he was always there to support and encourage me, to always do my best in everything and that words boost my self trust and esteem to learn this skill.

Module 1: Human Development: Meaning, Concepts and Approaches

From this module, I realized that a human development is a pattern of movement that begins at conception and continues through the life span of a well human being. Also it includes growth and decline. The human development can be positive or negative. Growth deals with quantitative changes while development deals with qualitative changes. Development is relatively orderly.  Development has proximodistal pattern that deals with the development from inward to upward. Another pattern is the cephalocaudal pattern which the development is from head to toe and from top to bottom. Development also takes place gradually.  The pattern of development is more likely be similar, the outcome of development process and the rate of development are vary among individuals.  Development as a process is complex because it is the product of biological, cognitive and socio-emotional process. The biological process is a physical change. The cognitive process is about knowle...

Developing conscience was also one of the development because I am having the moral of knowing what is right or wrong. Learning physical skills for ordinary games that helped me a lot to win municipal meets such as high jumps, long jumps and track & field (marathon). In this age I want to have freedom of independence to get and have nor achieve everything I want. I am very friendly at these ages because I've learned to get along with my agemates. Boys were the one I am happy to ...

Unit 1: Learner-Centered Psychological Principles

From the module on Learner-Centered Psychological Principles, I realized that a personal development comes with different form depending on how people develop each individual self. This means that every person who's experiencing the process of development has to consider it in the level of complexity because it can be the product of different perception  to our personal development such as  biological, which those traits can be adopted from our parents as well as our to bloodline or cognitive, which can be acquire through the process of self learning or it might be the socio emotional which we aquire through the process of dealing with different kind of person that surrounds us. Unit 1 is a very challenging and breathtaking because of it's teaching about the development of a human from pre-natal period through the life span. From the pre-natal period I realized that from the beginning in a form of sperm and egg cell, human life is not as easy as we've thought. Here, we can ...
